Associate Degrees
As a concurrent student, you can take college-level general education courses and electives and earn an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science / Liberal Arts and Science transfer degree by the time you graduate high school. Your associate degree can then be transferred to an Arkansas public four-year university and be applied toward a bachelor’s degree – saving you time and money.
Pursuing an associate degree while in high school can be a large time commitment and requires dedication and discipline. Be sure to connect with your high school counselor or an NWACC concurrent advisor to fully understand the responsibility required to earn a college degree as a high school student.

Associate of Arts Transfer Degree Path
The Associate of Arts (AA) transfer degree is a path made up of general education concurrent courses that can be taken in two or three years while in high school. The degree is designed to transfer to any Arkansas public four-year university.

Associate of Science / Liberal Arts & Science Transfer Degree Path
The Associate of Science (AS) / Liberal Arts and Science (LAS) transfer degree is a path made up of general education concurrent courses that can be taken in two or three years while in high school.
The degree is designed for those pursuing a major in a STEM field, such as biology, chemistry, engineering and math, and recommended for those planning to pursue pre-professional studies, such as pre-med or pre-vet. The degree is also designed to transfer to any Arkansas public four-year university.
