Sociology
Sociology courses include the study of social life, social change and the social causes and consequences of human behavior.
You'll learn to use critical analysis to investigate relations among people, groups,
classes, organizations and cultures, as well as learn how empirical evidence is used
to build understanding of social structures and conflicts.
Sociology courses can fulfill general education requirements for many of NWACC's degree paths and be transferred to a four-year university.
If you decide to transfer and pursue a bachelor's degree in sociology, you can find employment opportunities in
social services, education, business, public health, research, conservation and more.
