Bio Tech

Two Students Working on Homework

NWACC’s Biotechnology program allows hands-on experience in technology based on biology and chemistry, especially pertinent to agriculture, food science, medicine, engineering, and forensics. The local biotechnology industry is growing and in need of skilled biotechnicians.

This program incorporates hands-on experiences with equipment, processes, and techniques, providing students with the skills to succeed in the field of biotechnology. Students will also gain an understanding of the scientific research process through CUREs (Course-based Undergraduate Research Experiences). These experiences are offered as a part of several of the courses taken while earning one of the certificates or the applied science in general technology-biotechnology.

The Biotech Program allows the students to be eligible to earn

Certificate in Proficiency in Workforce

Certificate in Proficiency In Pre-Biotech: Molecular and Cellular Biology

Technical Certificate in Biotechnology

Associates of Applied Science in General Technology-Biotechnology
